Service Description

⏰ Times: 08:00 - 16:00 Type of course: NOVICE Location: WF10 2JT Course duration: 1 days Ratio: 6 candidate : 1 instructor :1 machine. Objectives It is envisaged that by the end of this course of training the learner will be able to answer questions on and perform the following: ✅  Have a basic understanding of the industry, the dangers of working in the industry, and their responsibilities as an operator 
 ✅  Have a working knowledge of the manufacturer’s handbook and be familiar with other sources of information available including relevant legislation 
 ✅  Be able to locate and identify the major components of the machine and explain their functions 
➢ Be able to locate and identify key controls and explain their functions 
 ✅  Conduct all pre-operational checks in accordance with manufacturer’s and legislative 
requirements 
 ✅  Identify and maintain PPE appropriate for cutting or grinding machine 
 ✅  Select a suitable type of machine relative to the work being undertaken 
 ✅  Conduct all necessary safety checks at the work area and set up a safety zone 
 ✅  Prepare the machine for use and operate machinery safely and efficiently 
 ✅  Environmental considerations 
 ✅  Storage and transport of abrasive wheel machine 
 ✅  Carry out all end of shift and shut down procedures
