Service Description

Price includes VAT INCLUDES THEORY TEST. ACTIVITY GUIDELINES The learner must : Test sequence  Complete all pre-start and running checks before any activity takes place  The shutdown procedures must only be completed by the learner at the end of the test  The crusher must be set in the travel position with side chutes stowed and secured prior to the test starting  All additional test requirements can be completed in any order Operator safety & observations  The crusher must be sited correctly, level and stable with appropriate space for material discharge  A risk assessment / method statement must be completed prior to crushing  The crusher must be serviceable and meet the current legislation  The learner must wear full PPE at all times  Hand signals must be agreed with the loader operator before loading commences The learner must: Set up in preparation for work  Travel crusher at least 30m over varying terrain (mobile only)  Travel crusher through a restriction  Set crusher in preparation for processing duties  Receive a load Process material  Crush material and form a stockpile  Carry out an emergency stop during the crushing process Shutdown procedures The crusher must be placed in a safe position with the key removed and handed to the instructor Additional notes  A verbal description to the instructor of the pre-start checks would be acceptable if the machine is hot  The operator’s manual must be available and accessible  There must be suitable and sufficient material for processing  Appropriate method of loading  The material produced must be at least 75% of the discharge conveyer height  If the crusher test is used in combination with a screener, the test would be complete when the screener produces 75% of its discharge conveyor height  A crusher that is not able to move and reposition for the test shall be classed as a static crusher and the learner should be restricted to static crusher use only  The crusher must be set at least 75% of its full processing output capacity Test timings The full test must be completed within 1hr 15 min Note It is recommended that all learners completing basic training receive a minimum 7hr Health, Safety, Environment and Induction Training.
