The NPORS N202 Excavator 360 course develops the knowledge and practical skills needed to inspect, prepare and use the excavator 360 for its intended task. It covers components and controls, pre-use checks, work-area hazards, safe manoeuvring, operating tasks and shutdown procedures.

Who this course suits
Plant operators who use, or are preparing to use, equipment in the excavator 360 category within construction, civil engineering, utilities, earthworks, agriculture or related workplaces.

Learning outcomes
• Explain industry hazards, safe working responsibilities and communication requirements.
• Identify the major components of the machine and explain their functions.
• Complete pre-use checks in line with manufacturer instructions and site requirements.
• Manoeuvre the machine to the work area and correctly configure in readiness to carry out excavating tasks.
• Carry out excavating tasks.
• Reinstate excavation, grade and level ground.
• Complete safe shutdown, parking and securing procedures.
