Who Are NPORS Courses For?
NPORS is a flexible, widely recognised card scheme for plant operators and construction workers, with routes across the agricultural, industrial and utilities sectors too. It is also a good fit for employers who want training that works around their business rather than the other way round.
You complete your training, then sit practical and theory assessments. Pass both and your card is issued, with or without the CSCS logo depending on what your site requires. Cards are usually valid for 3 or 5 years (2 years with the CSCS logo), after which you renew or reassess. Because it can be delivered on site and covers a wide range of machinery and equipment, NPORS is often a more flexible option than CPCS, without losing recognition among employers.
